The CDC has the mandate to manage all initiatives of the IMU in support of mathematics in developing and economically disadvantaged countries. The CDC is charged with the following missions:

to manage, strengthen and promote the programs of the IMU in developing and economically disadvantaged countries.

to search for funding to support the corresponding activities.

to establish institutional partnerships with scientific organizations with common goals.

The video includes the entire session as streamed on July 12 consisting of the pre-recorded presentations as well as the live Q&A at the end.

 

Fully funded by the Abel Prize in mathematics, the program is designed for post doctoral mathematicians under 35, based in developing countries to undertake a research sabbatical at a internationally renowned mathematical center of excellence. Applications run four times a year. Find out more about the program here.

The Volunteer Lecturer Program supports universities in developing countries keen to host volunteer lecturers for 3-4-weeks for an intensive mathematics course in its mathematics degree program. The grant may be used for hosting volunteer lecturers in person or online.

This program gives partial support to Mathematical Science conferences organized in developing countries. The program supports both live and online conferences by allowing grants for travel and accommodation arrangements for participants from developing countries, or to cover expenses for material or services needed for virtual activities.

IMU-CDC has currently two different programs for one-month long research visits that are open of applications continuously with several deadlines per year.
